Who Would Buy This: Those shopping for a high-performance under sink water filter with faucet which has low maintenance costs.

Pros:

The Multipure Aquaversa MP750SB has a tough, stainless-steel cylinder shaped body which makes it highly durable long term and designed to last a lifetime.

Installing the Aquaversa is easy on the most part and requires no professional installation. It comes with a stainless-steel bracket to mount under the sink onto your cabinet wall as well as all the necessary fittings.

It comes with a sleek chrome designer faucet to give you cold fresh water on demand. You’ll need to drill a ½-inch hole in your sink or countertop to install the faucet. You can also connect the filter to an icemaker with use of an optional icemaker kit. Also, you can purchase a conversion kit to use it as a countertop unit. This is particularly handy for those living in rental properties where you cannot drill through the sink.

The MultiPure Aquaversa works by using a solid carbon block filter which tackles more contaminants than most types of water filters by using a densely compacted carbon block which forces unfiltered water through tiny microscopic pores.

The system uses advanced filtration techniques known as electrokinetic absorption and physical absorption. This ensures that the filter gets rid of dozens of contaminants like benzene, chlordane, solvents, VOCs, MTBEs and more to give you clean, safe, fresh tasting water.

With its 750 gallon capacity the filter cartridges last approx 1 year under normal usage. Replacement filters cost only about $60 so annual maintenance costs are pretty low.

The Aquaversa is certified by the NSF/ANSI to standard 42/43, in addition to certification by the state of California so you have peace of mind knowing it meets stringent industry standards.

Cons:

One consumer received faulty hardware with their unit. However, Multipure were quick to respond to the complaint and promptly sent out new fixtures.

The flow rate is slower than the rated capacity, approx 0.4 gpm.

Specifications:

  • Unit Weight: 5 lbs
  • Filter capacity: 750 gallons
  • Flow rate: 0.75 gpm

Guarantee: Lifetime warranty on housing.

Summary

The Multipure Aquaversa MP750SB is a high quality water filter which meets NSF standards and receives a glowing recommendation from Consumer Reports as well as many consumers.

With its robust built for life design, great filter life and versatile installation, this is a good under-sink filter to go for if you want excellent water filtration without compromising on taste.
