Company: Amazon

Price Range: $150 - $200

Who Would Buy This: Those shopping for a lightweight, compact, counter-top distiller which purifies water simply without the need of filters.

Pros:

The Nutriteam Water Distiller is very simple to operate. Just add tap water then press start then the machine distils your water then shuts off automatically once ready. In terms of performance, the unit outputs up to 16 liters of distilled water per day which equals around 4 liters per 5-6 hours. It is certified to meet CSA, UL, CE, CB and GS standards.

High quality components throughout make this distiller a reliable workhorse. The boiling chamber, dome and condensing coils are constructed of stainless-steel both inside and out. The machine consists of three main parts which include the water distiller, condenser top and a plastic collection jug.

Although the design of this machine is filter-less, you can use an optional charcoal filter if you live in a hard water area. A 6 pack of charcoal filters is included with the unit.

Cleaning the distiller is easy, taking about 15-20 minutes. Most users use either some white vinegar or citric acid solution then use a nylon cleaning pad to gently scrub down the parts and get rid of any stains.

Cons:

The machine emits quite a far bit of noise in operation due to the fact it uses a cooling fan.

Guarantee: 1-year warranty.

Summary

The Nutriteam Countertop Water Distiller is based on a simple design and one that works very well. Distilled water is great for many purposes including steam cleaners, irons and other appliances, in addition to being great for drinking water. This particular distiller is used in professional environments by doctors and dentists, so it has a high pedigree based on both performance and reliability.
